tanzbuero is a curatorial platform developing projects at the intersection of embodied/performative practice, interdisciplinary artistic research, and critical thinking. It proposes process-oriented formats that foster open-ended exchange between different fields and practices; and focuses on plural – sensorial, affective, performative, theoretical, discursive – conceptions of research. tanzbuero is based in Salzburg, unfolding its activities in collaboration with different institutions, organisations and voices from the city’s cultural field. It aims to provide a meeting point for artists, theorists, researchers, artist-researchers, curators and other cultural workers locally; as well as opportunities for Salzburg audiences to engage with international perspectives in dance, performance, and research.
tanzbuero is currently composed of Gwendolin Lehnerer, Lisa Hinterreithner, Anna Leon (curatorial team) and Dominik Jellen (production).

October 2025: NEXT – RESHAPING FEARS (curated by Gwendolin Lehnerer & Lisa Hinterreithner)
How do we react to fear? Fears act upon our societies through emotional and affective pathways. They creep insiduously into ever widening parts of collective life, have impact on social relations and become politically instrumentalised. We want to face these fears, and find ways to process them. NEXT – RESHAPING FEARS is an invitation to the local community, institutions, friends, allies and everyone interested to think and exchange on these questions, and collectively find tools of empowerment against fear and resentment, for more togetherness. Programme: 07.10. Opening with lecture by Stefan Nowotny / 08.10. Research day
