WIENWOCHE is a festival that experiments with merging creative practices and activism in different scales and formats and from different sides of art and social movements. It has been taking place yearly in Vienna since 2012. WIENWOCHE sees cultural work as engagement in social, political and cultural debates, with the aim of advancing them and making them visible. WIENWOCHE intends to push the boundaries of cultural and artistic practices and make them accessible for all social groups living in Vienna. WIENWOCHE is carried out by the independent “Verein zur Förderung der Stadtbenutzung” (“Association for the Promotion of City Use”). I am a member of its board along with Carlos Toledo, Mara Verlič, Djamila Grandits and Esra Ösmen. More information about the festival here.
Since autumn 2025, I have been a member of the funding jury for dance and performance for the Austrian Ministry for Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sport along with Angela Glechner, Anna Hein, Christa Spatt and Michikazu Matsune. The jury advises on funding for projects, year-long activity, festivals, work scholarships and awards.
